Brushstroke Training - 9 Month Course - ITEC Certified

Media (Film, Television, Theatre)

• Make-up techniques for film and television including close-ups, mid and distance shots, HDTV, lighting gels and shooting in studio and on location .

• Film/TV/Theatre make-up - basic make-up techniques, ageing, period hair and make-up facial hair application, tattoos and camouflaging techniques.

• Wig making/application - Hair, lace and acrylic wigs, wig making and styling, microphone disguise, blocking, dressing into various styles and fitting.

Fashion

• High Fashion Hair & Make-up for cover shots, editorials, catalogue, catwalk, inside magazines., creative looks, fashion styling and make-up. Classic and period looks for various photographic sessions as well as airbrushing and hair extensions.

• In the hair cutting and styling section of the course I was able to tailor my many years of hair experience to become a more precise session stylist.

Special Effects

• Prosthetics starting with casting, sculpting, foam runs and preparing moulds..

• We also covered application of prosthetic pieces, painting, air brushing, make-up and design of prosthetic pieces.

• Gained experience making & fitting bald caps, working with gelatine, blood, wax and gums.

• Special effect make-up including burns, bruising, wounds, diseases, miscellaneous injuries and deaths.
